Hip and joint supplement chews have helped with the support my dog needs. My dog loves the chicken flavor as the chews are full of nutrients.
This joint supplement smells somewhat like bacon with an unfamiliar sweet smell as well. The pieces are well formed without breakage so you’ll be able to dose without trying to guess. They will crumble if you press them between your fingers, but it does take a bit of pressure and twist. They’re a good consistency for both treats and crumbling into a topper on your dog’s meal. The container has a freshness seal, which is always nice to see.At 2 pieces for 31-60 lbs, this container will last 1 of my dogs for 2 months. Current price makes this around $12/month, which is a great value for this kind of supplement.The dogs like the taste and there’s been no GI upset at all. The ingredients are solid and the price is definitely right, 5 stars from us.
This is a rather difficult review because these chews really seemed to work but my dog ended up with diarrhea for 3 days. After she had been taking them for a little over a week, she started jumping up on the bed again and even had less problems with the stairs, then a few days later, the diarrhea started. It had been rather loose stools after starting but not worrying, then it got bad, having to take her out in the middle of the night, super early in the morning. We were about to take her to the vet, then my husband asked if it might not be the chews, so I stopped giving them to her and within 24 hours she was back to normal. This is not the first time she’s had adverse reactions to a supplement, so I’m wondering if it’s just her and a delicate constitution, I can’t even say 100% that it was the chews that did it. What I do know, is that these chews were working. She had no problem taking them, so she obviously liked the smell and flavor. The price is normal when comparing like products and I would still recommend this product, just keep an eye on your puppers. I might resume these chews after a visit to the vet to make sure it’s okay because it sure was great seeing my dog being able to move more freely!
I am excited to continue giving this item to my 25 lb 11 year old mutt. I like that these have been tested and free from any artificial ingredients- also that it’s made in the USA! The value for price was great. Upon opening the container, it was also properly sealed. Highly recommend and so does my pup! He thinks it’s a treat!
My 13 year old Pomeranian has been getting these every morning for a week now.I usually have to carry him off the bed every morning for his walk. This morning he actually jumped for the first time, before I knew what was happening! He didn’t even limp afterwards. He trotted to the front door to do his business and came back in waiting for his morning treat ( one of these).I know it’s early, but if this is what I can expect, then this will be the first of many jars I will be getting!He looks forward to them and he plays like a puppy.If anything changes I will update!
I had to rate these hip and joint chews at 3 stars.The chews both look and smell fine. They seem to be well-made with quality ingredients. My issue is, I cannot get either of my dogs to try them.One of my boys will eat pretty much anything, and he will not touch these. It is highly abnormal to find something he won’t eat. The other dog is fairly picky.Either way, I was not able to rate this product’s effectiveness because I just could not get either one of them to give it a try.I wish that I could be more help with a review.
I am very happy with these Hip & Joint chews for dogs from My Dog Sanctuary. These chews have the big three for hip & joint support: Glucosamine, MSM, and Chondroitin. They also have White Willow Bark. There are minimal inactive ingredients which I like (less is more in this instance).My dog weighs 89 lbs. as of last week which means he gets three chews per day. With 120 chews per container, he'll have enough for forty days. Depending on what your dog weighs, this container could last up to four months!I like that these chews have no artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives and are made with ingredients fit for human consumption. Also, they are made in the USA in an FDA-registered facility. All things that make me feel good about feeding them to my baby.At the time of this review these chews have a price of $20.99 per container. That's unheard of (in a good way) for 120 chews!
The pup was hesitant at first but ate it. The chewys are all clumped together in the bottle and smells a little funny. I'm not saying it's good for him or not but we might not continue to take.

It contains ingredients (Glucosamine, MSM, Chondroitin Sulfate), known to support a dog's hip and joints, along with White Willow Bark to minimize inflammation and discomfort.As with any initial "taste test", my two Pug Boys were a bit skeptical at first, but once the bacon flavored chews passed the "sniff test", they both took to them readily. Based upon the size of my dogs, they only require one soft chew daily, which means that the 120 chew jar will last two months; considering the current price of the product, I consider that a good buy.I will circle back to amend this review, once I see how my boys progress while on this supplement, so stay tuned!

A couple things really stuck out to be regarding these supplements.1. Ingredients fit for human consumption2. No Corn or Soy3. Made in the USA in a FDA-registered facility4. Third party lab testedWhen it comes to my pups (I have three) I want them to have clean healthy food, treats, and supplements. So I always look for Made In the USA (so I know ingredients are regulated) and I also look for natural and human grade ingredients, My Dog Sanctuary Sacred Steps Hip and Joint chews fit all these boxes!Of my three dogs, two of them will eat the little cubes all on their own, the third will eat his crumbled and mixed into his food (of course he is my chihuahua mix and the pickiest).According to the suggested portions, between my three dogs, I will feed 7 of these a day. Which means one container with 120 chews will last me 17 days.
Amazing product. My dog gobbled these up so fast! I’m also noticing she’s able to get up much quicker and seems like she’s got a lot more energy at 7 years old.

Puppy loves the taste of these and thinks they’re treats. She basically vacuums them up.I’ve only had them for 2 weeks but excited to see how she progresses. Big dogs tend to have issues with joints and this is much better and easier than putting her on medication later!

THIS... IS the dog sanctuary hip and joint treat, a 120 count dog treat focusing on hip and joint health. It contains a unique ingredient list with Glucosamine, Chondroitin and MSM to enhance your pets nutrient needs. I would pay attention to how many your dog will need as I was going through 11 scoops a day with my 3 dogs making this last around 10-11 days. That being said, my dogs did love this and even my picky eater ate this with no issues. While it is hard to attest to the hip support, it did give all of my dogs amore consistant bowel regiment... likely due to the oats flower. Overall, this is a super easy to use treat that just about every dog should enjoy eating with some effective and noticeable ingredients. This treat is honestly a really good value even when using so many a day as it is using rather niche ingredients with some interesting claims that I think are worth the money for my larger dogs as they get older.
